The Desk Assistant (DA) is a part-time paraprofessional staff member of the department of Housing and Residence Life. He/She is primarily responsible for maintaining security within the hall while serving as a customer service representative for the department. The DA also addresses problems as they arise, performs various administrative tasks, and serves as a resource to students and guests.

Helped to teach underprivileged youth in urban environments the importance of hard-work through mentorship.
