Worked over 7yrs at the Meghalaya Climate Change Centre (MCCC), Shillong, established under the National Mission for Sustaining the Himalayan Ecosystem implemented by the Department of Science and Technology, GoI. Since 2015, gained extensive experience in developing project proposals, assessed state climate vulnerability, generated knowledge products and dissemination materials to further the cause of climate change concerns and issues relevant to the State. My responsibilities, inter alia, included revision of the Meghalaya State Action Plan on Climate Change and facilitating its implementation, organising workshops, training programs, building awareness across all sectors, with the sole objective to converge climate change actions into development and towards a sustainable growth of the State. This has given me the platform and scope to work across a wide spectrum of stakeholders, from State administration & Department officials to rural communities and academic institutions. As a student of Geo-informatics, I had the experience of working on geospatial technology. Published research paper at the prestigious ISG-ISRS National Conference and Symposium for Environment. Recipient of a grant to pursue M.Sc. Internship at the premier University of Cologne, Germany on a project to develop the “Protocol for estimation of leaf area index of agricultural crops using digital hemispherical photography". Recipient of the prestigious recognition awarded by the Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund as Meritorious student at the Post-graduate level.
