Submarine Network - Associate Engineer
Current#Operate & maintain client’s submarine cable systems.#Ensure optimal quality and continuity of traffic.#Deliver co-location customers’ facilities and interconnection requests.#Operate and maintain telecommunication equipment and submarine cable communication systems at our cable landing station#Test, implement and troubleshoot submarine cable communication equipment and links#Develop and administer the operational procedures for cable station, co-location, interconnection and consortia equipment#Manage and deliver consortia and co-location customers’ access, logistics, risk assessments, security and additional requirements, including the allocation of floor space, and power and utilization plan in the cable station#Ensure all co-location customers’ interconnection requests are met, including cabling, fibre patching and troubleshooting activities#Prepare and submit reports to submarine cable consortia NOC and NA for consortia related activities#Plan and supervise submarine cable and co-location projects, site surveys, inspections#Coordinate with government authorities on work permit requirements, and renewal of wayleave/lease agreements related to submarine cables and station.#Review and work on contractual agreementsPerform 24x7 standby and call-out duties to manage ad-hoc operations, localize submarine cable system faults (dry and wet segments), and support fault repairs#Carry out on-board vessel representative duties for submarine cable projects, repairs, and surveys#Maintain documentation of all co-location customers’ facilities and interconnection services
