Won the CEO-sponsored Business Plan competition, VentureFest, competing with 100+ ideas. Originated concept and drove team to develop a business and technical plan for a service worth $200M, around venue based broadcasting for sports stadiums and shopping malls.Led a 5-member software team that enabled the U.S. launch of the $1B FLO TV Mobile TV service in partnership with AT&T and Verizon, with a capacity of over 20 channels.Drove software architecture, design and implementation for MediaFLO Transcoding and Multiplexing subsystem - involving real time video encoding/transcoding, statistical multiplexing and FLO protocol stack implementation.Drove roadmap and features for this core segment of the FLO TV platform, working with other teams. Kickstarted strategic objectives such as 3rd party video encoders and features resulting in 2 more channels broadcasted by FLO TV.Improved software quality and motivated team to meet milestones on time and above expectations, delivering over 10 major features on an aggressive schedule that enabled over 4 international trials of the FLO TV platform.Received internal awards for driving external engineering engagement, and enabling the 1st FLO TV trial and showcase.Co-inventor for multiple pending patents on Video encoding, FLO technology, VenueCasting and Mobile user experiences.
