Electrical Engineer (owner’s) at Talwandi Sabo Power Limited (a Vedanta Resources Plc. Group company), among a team setting up a 3 x 660MW supercritical thermal power plant in Punjab and involved from concept to commissioning since start of civil works till coal firing of first unit of 660 MW. Design engineering & review - Involved in review of detailed engineering for basic electrical aspects such as LV switchgear, cabling system, lighting, earthing, etc. - Responsible towards confirming & verifying whether drawings submitted during detailed engineering / subsequent stages / manufacturer design suggestions are in line with agreements during basic engineering stage, technical contract, etc. - In-charge of review and approval of design modifications for total drawings of electrical package.Project Commissioning - In-charge of station switchboards & protection system commissioning, unit switchboards & protection system commissioning, HV motors, LT switchboards and auto changeovers, etc. - Involved in electrical commissioning activities for unit synchronization, power transformers and protection, excitation transformer and AVR system charging, 400 kV switchyard and protection system.Electrical installation, testing & approvals- Involved in installation and testing of 400 kV switchyard, power transformers, HV & LV switchgear, cabling, earthing and lighting works. - In-charge for power demand approvals from govt. power utility as per estimated power demand and maintaining and ensuring financials for the same.
