Devashish was a Manager with the G&PS– HHSS. He has programmatic experience of 12+ years in WASH, livelihoods, skills development, agriculture, and healthcare domains. He specializes in different tools of M&E, impact assessment, evidence-based project planning, program design, and fundraising.He is currently the engagement manager for the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) Project Management Unit with the Government of Bihar.He has led various engagements, including NITI Aayog's Evaluation of Package 10: Social Inclusion, Law and Order and Justice Delivery, Evaluation of DFID India's returnable capital investment on affordable Housing; a team member in program support and implementation for WPP India CSR foundation; a thematic specialist for Midterm Evaluation of the Pashmina Enhancement and Trade Support (PETS) Project in Nepal. He also has experience in conducting impact assessment studies for an Agriculture Extension and Marketing Project in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh for a social development initiative of an Indian Commodity ExchangeHis experience in evaluation entails conducting over 45 Need Assessment and Social Impact Assessment studies for various corporate foundation-led social initiatives in agriculture, skill development, livelihood, and behavior change projects in 12 states/union territories of India and four countries in Asia. He conducted a need assessment study to understand the needs and develop an action plan for Voluntary Organizations for Professional Evaluation in Collaboration with a local evaluation professional’s team in Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka. He was responsible for designing the NGO Evaluation Ranking Tools and executed them for 3 consecutive years for Glenmark Foundation. Furthermore, he developed the Business Plan, Prototyping, and Pilot Project for a Waste Recycling and Livelihood Project for Godrej Interio.
