As an educator, I thrive on creating and cultivating dynamic learning environments that inspire critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and personal growth. My experience designing and teaching undergraduate courses in English Studies and Black Studies has equipped me with a deep understanding of how to engage diverse student populations and foster a passion in my students for learning about the world and themselves. My current doctoral research at CUNY Graduate Center allows me to delve deeper into the complex intersections of race, culture, and language, which I believe are essential to crafting equitable visions of the world. I focus on the way(s) in which writing and the writing process can help us unlock new ways of telling stories.
