I have 25 years experience as a full-stack developer & manager; primarily using PHP, Javascript, & HTML 5. I'm an experienced server/network administrator (*NIX: Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu), and have worked as UI/UX designer. I am very well versed in PHP (since v3), MySQL/MariaDB, Apache, NGINX, NoSQL DBs, search engines (ElasticSearch, Xapian, Lucene, & Solr), various caching technologies (Memcached, Redis). I'm also experienced with HTML5/CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap, Tailwind & Zurb Foundation.I have a lot of experience with building and interacting with APIs: OAuth 2, REST & SOAP APIs, JWT (JSON Web Tokens), JSONP, RPC (Remote Procedure Call) & various other 3rd party implementations.I am also very experienced with Content Accessibility & Usability (WCAG 2.1 AA & Section 508) guidelines. I have been living and breathing all things internet since the early BBS days due to my upbringing, education, and exposure in the San Francisco Bay Area.My primary focuses are: Application & infrastructure security, and improving the availability & accessibility of information world wide. Secondly, I'm interested in building creative & educative communities that enable people to expand their knowledge and empower them to pursue their passions.
