Large technology transformation project for the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System (TCRS).Accomplishments: • Authored a 90-day 90-page deliverable called “Architecture and Deployment Plan” that presented a vision of the to-be technology landscape mapped against the existing assets and project phases.• Reviewing and integrating all non-functional requirements including security, integration, performance, quality and operations requirements into the overall design.• Rules Architect in charge of planning, design and implementation of the CONCORD business rules engine that supports benefits eligibility, benefits calculation, service purchase eligibility and service purchase calculations. • Additional responsibilities included serving as the Deloitte subject matter expert and design reviewer for the Retirement, Benefit Estimates, Member Self Service modules and DPAS in general. • Conducted joint application design sessions for ILOG Business rules, automated processes and the Audit Service module. Size and Scope: START was large technology transformation project to replace KRS’ legacy systems with Deloitte’s Pension Administration System (DPAS). Accomplishments: • Reviewing and integrating all non-functional requirements including security, integration, performance, quality and operations requirements into the overall design.• Designed and developed the “Web Enrollment” module for the “Retiree Self-Service” web application. This module allows retirees who receive Health Insurance coverage from KRS, to enroll into their health insurance plan(s) during the annual open enrollment periods. • Successfully delivered the low level design for the "Benefit Calculations" module which consists of 7 sub-modules - "Benefit Estimates", "Self Service Benefit Estimates", "Final Retirement", "Final Retirement Recalculation", "Disability Retirement" and "Death". I created and am responsible for the SCAR Data Model which services all the above modules.• Developed the “Retirement” module for the Line of Business web application. • Low level design and development for ANSI 837 Electronic Claims Submission to clearing houses like Proxy Med, the Claim Status Response, the ANSI 835 interface and the Eligibility 270-271 interface. Transactions were conducted in the ANSI HIPAA-EDI formats.• Development of the Lab Orders and Lab Results interfaces. These were sent and received in HL7 format.• Development of Web Services for invoking Orchestrations (ANSI 837 insurance claims and Lab Orders) from the AIM Datacenter.• Development of Stored Procedures with SQL Server 2000, for carrying out various database tasks from orchestrations.• Development of Windows Services for HIPAA Accelerator and HL7 Accelerator event interception and handling.• Design and Development of Windows Services for client-side deployment. Screens were developed under IIS 5.0 with SQL Server 2000 as database. Coded ASP.NET User controls, Business Classes to encapsulate business logic of various transactional entities, Data-Access layer and classes for implementing windows based security. (Screen-level and Functionality level). Created DTS Packages for Initial Data load and Reports for the intranet application using Crystal Reports 9.0.
