Boeing has many legacy web applications used by aviation engineers that need to be re-designed for mobile use. Engineers were increasingly requiring the ability to take their data and application functionality with them onto the factory floor, and on aircraft for test and design flights. Architected a responsive HTML framework for use by new and existing applications allowing websites to be viewed on desktop computers and mobile devices while online or offline. Mentored the development team on the use of HTML5 and CSS3 design techniques and features for use in their own applications. Washington State ferries reservation system is a new project offering the general public and commercial vehicles the ability to reserve space on a specific sailing. Before this system was in place, available space was allocated on a first come first served basis. This reservation system allows for space on the ferry boats to be better managed, spread peak vehicle traffic to no-peak times, reduce wait times, and minimize the need for costly terminal and vessel expansion projects. My task was to architect the best suited technologies: ASP.NET MVC, SQL Server, Entity Framework, and JavaScript using an object oriented paradigm to implement design patterns for a single page application. Worked with the team to create new methods of communicating using JSON objects between both the web browser and the server.

Developer in an agile team problem solving and coding upgrades to the new Starbucks.com site. The application utilized a Model View Controller (MVC) design. Information is presented using Microsoft Ajax and jQuery technologies. Attention to detail was essential as hundreds of data points need to follow a rules engine to populate XML and database stores. Many technologies were required in maintaining the site. From simple tasks of automating the backup of IIS log files with scripts, to downloading JSON formatted data from REST web services for iPhone statistical information, to auditing the database with SQL queries.
