DEPTH (Developing People Transformation and Help) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) working in Jharkhand and has its headquarters in Ranchi, India. For 19 years DEPTH has been working with a vision to build a women and child-centered society, where they enjoy the fullest scope of their development and rights. DEPTH India was founded in 2002 by a group of young activists. For ten years since its inception, we served as grass root organization in tribal villages on women rights, HIV aids survivors, children and sustainable environment until being registered under the Indian Trust Act 1882 on December 28, 2005. DEPTH is also tackling challenges related to human rights and protection such as human trafficking, early child marriage, child labour, etc. It is committed to creating livelihood opportunities through sustainable agriculture practices to build a safe and secure environment for the community. DEPTH also initiates conversations around adolescent health and sexual reproductive health within the communities and with system actors. We firmly believe that sustainable development can only succeed when all children and women are assured of their survival, protection, and full participation in the development process. Through our work, we hope to move towards a world where children and women access their rights and opportunities. Addressing the mental health of individuals especially children and women through innovative practices and counselling is a prime focus.
