Host book clubs regularly and design sessions for the entire team (15+ developers) to train them in best practices and to improve their ability to design systems that are easy to understand, maintain, and extend. Led my team to build out following functionality:• Introduced Workspaces which gives cloud customers isolated spaces to work on application development. • Migrated Elasticsearch from 5.x to 6.x with zero downtime for all cloud customers across all regions.• Improved change control performance by introducing Shared Matrices. Operations went from taking 45 minutes to now taking only a few minutes.Support many cloud customers through production impacts/outages. Advise and troubleshoot problems directly with customers often spear heading efforts to solve technical challenges. Deliver and plan both immediate and long-term solutions.

Development DepartmentDeveloped numerous systems and many features that drove adoption of a cloud application development framework (Keystone). Keystone facilitated the creation of a stream-lined quoting tool (Enterprise Quoter) that allows highly configurable products to be easily ordered from Customers. All while differentiating themselves (and their processes) without customized code.Advocated for programming best practices, code quality, and code readability by hosting dozens of book clubs for the development team. Demonstrated how to accomplish those goals during pairings. Guided the team into the world of single page applications in Javascript. Independently automated the translation process for the entire product suite. The tool extracted all English resources from a variety of sources (e.g., installshield, web applications, databases) into a package that could be translated. It also streamlined the import of new or updated languages to generate database patches, resx files, and others automatically. Accelerated the adoption of new languages and increased the efficiency of translating new modules.

Enhancements DepartmentLead developer on an agile team to build a custom spec writing web application for a large customer. Designed the architecture for the entire product, front end and back end. I paired with team members and lead our effort to accomplish sprint commitments. The project accelerated market capture by allowing the customer's products to be "spec'd in" to the initial architecture diagram of buildings.

Enhancements DepartmentCo-developed the Batch Manager for a customer. The project vastly decreased the engineering work needed to release new products and subsequently greatly improved the time to market. The Batch Manager executed millions of permutations of product configurations that drove parametric 3D cad models to generate 2D cut sheet diagrams, bills of materials, and smart part numbers. Spearheaded the automation of our hotfix building process on my own initiative. The Hotfix Builder revolutionized an error prone, week-long process into one that took an hour. The tool is still in use today for on premise customers. Developed Build Your Own as the sole developer. The product allows users to visualize customer products in their own homes.Constructed on premise enhancements that increased customers’ efficiency, drove adoption, and ensured customers’ products were easily ordered. Supported customers through various production issues (e.g., memory leaks, deadlocks, performance) both on server side and client side.
