One goal of mine is to impact human health and well being with my research. Thus, my research is focused on to analyze and understand the mechanisms that control the induction and the maintenance of protective or pathogenic immune responses to disease and likewise provide new paradigms to develop better therapeutics and vaccine. I have investigated the significance of IgG self-reactive antibodies in clinically well-defined groups of P.falciparum infected patients using quantitative immunoprinting and multivariate statistical analyses. During my first postdoc at the Institute Pasteur, I established an ex-vivo model to investigate both parasite behaviour and the human tissue response which provides new insights in the molecular mechanisms involved in the early steps of human colon invasion by E. histolytica
