This also includes leading & managing key divisional projects for the division right from business case / project development to commissioning / start-up phase & full financial closeout. It also involves technical / engineering development & management for the APAC region in coordination with other regions & divisions.During 2011-12 completed Front End Engineering Design (FEED) for US$100m PEA unit in Singapore coordinating with internal & external stakeholders for alignment on business case, financial model, design development. SRC is a joint venture between Singapore Petroleum Company Limited (SPC) on one part and Chevron (namely, Chevron Singapore Pte. Ltd. & Chevron Trading Pte. Ltd.) on the other. Located on Jurong Island, SRC operates a refinery that is capable of processing 290,000 barrels of crude oil per day.I was responsible for leading & guiding a multi-disciplinary team on new as well as re-vamp / expansion projects from Business Case, Concept, FEED & EPC phases for Mogas-Cogen project.Mogas-Cogen project TIC was US$600m. Project consisted of two sub projects (Mogas US$450m & Cogen US$150m) with support Utilities / Infrastructure, Off-sites & Interfaces with existing refinery.Mogas project aimed to position refinery to meet Euro 4 gasoline specification by installing Axens’ Prime G+ licensed 2 stage hydrodesulphurization (GDS) unit to produce 26,000 BPSD of 50/10 ppmwS (sulfur) CCS products out of feedstock ranging from 1000~2000 ppmwS. This also included revamp of the existing Naphtha Splitter section and addition of a new Heavy Naphtha Splitter (HNS) upstream of existing Naphtha Splitter to reduce the Benzene precursors in the sour Heavy Naphtha to 0.1 wt% so as to meet 1.0 vol% Benzene in reformate. HNS is designed to produce 16000 BPSD of sour Heavy Naphtha by feeding 31200 BPSD of CN. Additionally, new Amine Treating Unit (ATU-5) using 38 wt% MDEA for H2S removal from the sour gas stream from GDS was installed.Cogen project consisted of two trains of GTG/HRSG each capable of producing 36.5 MW electricity & 165 T/hr of steam to support present and future utility requirements of refinery cost effectively.

A third dryer with supporting processes for Compounding, Evaporation, Drying & Packaging together with necessary infrastructure were added to give additional 20 million tons per annum of production.May-05~Feb-07: Worked as Project Engineering Manager for a very successful project delivered by Jacobs. This was EPCm of Huntsman chemicals JEFFAMINE plant having 16000 tons per annum capacity & TIC of USD40m. Plant process technology was based on Huntsman proprietary technology. Scope involved the TIC cost estimate, FEED, detailed design, construction & mechanical completion for process plant as well as infrastructure. The plant was completed on schedule, to the budget and on specification product was produced as planned.

This was US$ 200m project awarded to the consortium of SMOE and Saipem.SMOE executed EPC scope for 7000 MT PTT Riser Platform (PRP) topsides including offshore hook up and commissioning. SMOE portion of the contract was worth US$130m.As a Deputy Project Manager I oversaw both SMOE & Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR) engineering and procurement teams working on this project to address issues and decisions after necessary internal and customer co-ordination. Also for the seamless interaction between technical and commercial functions I was responsible for the procurement interface for all multi-discipline packages for this project right from RFQ/RFP preparation to site receipt of equipment/packages to support project execution schedule.
