Responsible for managing assets of national importance for the States of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh. Projects managed by BBMB generates 2919 MW of hydroelectric power and provides irrigation water to the participating states from Govindsagar and Pong Dam storage reservoirs.

Head, CEO and Board Member of Himachal Power Corporation Ltd. (HPPCL. Responsible for physical and financial performance; engineering, development and implementation/construction of hydroelectric projects in Himachal Pradesh. HPPCL has 22 hydroelectric projects with total portfolio of more than 3600 MW. Board Member in three other companies, viz, Himachal Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Ltd., Himachal Emta Power Ltd., Gourangdih Coal Ltd.Kashang Hydroelectric Project Stage I (65 MW) has been commissioned and four other projects, viz, Kashang Stage II & III (130 MW), Sawra Kuddu (111 MW), Sainj (100 MW), Shongtong Karcham (450 MW) are under construction. Sainj hydroelectric Project (100 MW) would be commissioned in September, 2016. ADB has provided a loan of US$ 800 million for these Projects. KfW of Germany has provided a loan of EURO 150 million for electro-mechanical works of these projects. Renuka Dam (40 MW), a storage scheme, declared as National Importance Project has been taken up for construction. Surgani Sunda (48 MW) has been granted TEC. Detailed Project Reports of Nakthan (460 MW), Thana Plaun (191 MW), Chanju III (48 MW) and Deothal Chnaju (33 MW) have been prepared. DPRs for Triveni Mahadev (78 MW), Sunni Dam (538 MW) and Gyspa Dam (300 MW) are under preparation. Pre-feasibility Reports of Lujai (40 MW), Chiroti Saichu (26 MW), Saichu (43 MW) and Saichu-Sach Khas (104 MW) have been prepared. Khab Hydroelectric Project (600 MW) located on river Satluj is at the identification stage.KfW, German Development Bank has committed low interest rate loan of Euro 200 million during July, 2013 for Construction of Thana Paun Hydroelectric Project (191 MW) located in district Mandi, H.P. Project to be taken up for construction during the next year.

Responsible for development of hydroelectric projects in India and neighbouring countries. Responsible for Sachh Khas (260+14 MW), Reoli Dugli (420 MW) Hydroelectric Projects in Himachal Pradesh, Tagurshit (74 MW) in Arunachal Pradesh and Singoli Bhatwari Hydroelectric Project (99 MW) in Uttarakhad. Established a very competent organizational framework for undertaking complete engineering i.e. concept to commissioning, detailed construction designs of civil works, hydro-mechanical works and electro-mechanical works of hydroelectric projects. End to end responsibility for operations and business development for hydroelectric Projects in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and J&K.Responsible for construction of rock fill dam with concrete spillway on the left bank and 45m deep 1m wide cut-off wall below foundation of the dam, diversion tunnels, power intakes, underground desilting chambers and part head race tunnel of Parbati Stage III Hydroelectric Project (520 MW).Completed construction of diversion barrage, surface desilting chambers, artificial reservoir and part head race tunnel located at an El. 2750m for Allain Duhangan hydroelectric Project.Responsible for construction of external access reoad to Sawlakot Hydroelectric Project (1200 MW) in Jammu & Kashmir.

Worked in various capacities in Himachal Pradesh Electricity Board Ltd. from 1982 to November 2006. Worked for Chamera Stage II (300 MW), Ghanwi (22.5 MW), Kol Dam (800 MW), Dhamwari Sunda (70 MW), Gaj (10.5 MW), Baner (12 MW) and Thirot (4.5 MW) hydroelectric projects. Worked for investigation, conceptualisation and prepared Detailed Project Report of Kol Dam (800 MW) and Chamera Stage-II (300 MW) Hydroelectric Projects in Himachal Pradesh. Worked with SJVNL for construction designs of Nathpa Dam 63m high concrete gravity dam, diversion tunnel and upstream and downstream coffer dams of Nathpa Jhakri Hydroelectric Project (1500 MW). Worked in Bhutan from October 1997 to September 2003 for construction of 92 m high concrete gravity Wangkha Dam, three power intakes, diversion tunnel and upstream and downstream coffer dams of Tala Hydroelectric Project (1020 MW). Received 'Man of the Year 1999' award for excellence in performance of duties and achievement in the field of hydropower. Worked in HPSEBL from October 2003 to November 2006 for establishing organisational framework for setting up of Pabba Valley Power Corporation. Established basic infrastructure for Sawra Kuddu Hydroelectric Project (111 MW).
