Currently responsible for leading the Imports leg of the company. Co-ordinating with agencies for obtaining licenses for importing of Cosmetics into India. Set and implement SOP's for the team and create the workflow for import operations right from supplier co-ordination till material delivery at the company warehouse. Assist team to resolve queries raised by custom and implement process to follow all the neccessary compliances.

Solely responsible for handling all pre and post import activities with due respect to all the Compulsory Customs Compliance Requirements.Coordinate with site resources to execute shipping schedules on a daily and weekly basis. Issue purchase orders for raw materials or traded goods through SAP - while working with regional procurement. Give requisition to accounts team to issue Letter of Credit to the foreign suppliers as per agreed terms and conditions mentioned in the Purchase Order.Issue green lights to the suppliers in accordance with the site requirements and monitor status of shipment till arrival at port. Obtaining draft of Bill of Lading/Airway Bill, invoice and packing list in accordance with the Letter Of Credit (LC) and Purchase Order, suggest corrections if any.Follow up for final pre alert documents from the supplier before the shipment arrival and forward those to CHA to initialize clearance procedure. Check correctness of checklist provided by CHA and provide confirmation for filling the Bill of Entry.Liaise with accounts team to process the customs duty and required statutory charges required for customs clearance.Ensuring that agreed SOP is followed by CHA and supervising them to get the shipments cleared on time, visit customs stations as and when required for any shipment.Inform stores team to make prior arrangements for offloading the shipment within time to avoid vehicle detention charges. Maintaining MIS reports with a view to apprise management of the process operations and assist in critical decision making process. Submit all the required original post clearance docs to the accounts team for bank submission.Conducting stock audit at the vendor’s factory during project execution.

Managing high-volume workload within a deadline-driven environment.One focal point for Oil & Gas and Pharmaceutical domain customers for custom clearance operations for Western region (India- Maharashtra & Gujarat) for both air and ocean shipments.Initiate custom clearance procedure once pre alert is shared by the customer, scrutinize documents in terms of compliance issues and if required seek help from customer if any lacuna found in the documents.Liaison within internal as well as external stake holders to facilitate on time shipment clearance.Monitor shipment clearance status and help troubleshooting problems.Preparing a compiled daily status report and circulating it to customers on daily basis.Attending weekly review meeting with the customers for smooth functioning and efficient customer service experience. Responsible for dispatching post clearance documents along with bills within given TAT.
