Principal Reo And Team Leader (Sensors Group)
Leading a team to develop industrial-grade fully flexible printed sensors prototype with high TRLs. Currently, the Sensors Group at the National Centre for Flexible Electronics, IIT Kanpur is developing industrial grade Flexible Printed Sensors (Gas Sensors and Thermal Sensors having room temperature sensing capabilities) and other printed devices with high Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) for smart food packaging (adulteration, spoilage), healthcare, industrial safety, and defence applications.Previously, I developed several prototypes such as RuO2 thin-film pH sensors which resulted in academic collaboration with Nobel Laureate Professor Barry Marshall’s group at the University of Western Australia, Perth Australia (2015-2016). This collaboration was to exploit the use of a potentiometric RuO2 pH sensor for the detection of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) bacteria, which resulted in a joint publication with Nobel Laureate Professor Barry Marshall in a reputed sensor journal; lab-on-chip for cancer detection; silicon MEMS accelerometer for aircraft motion sensing, India’s First silicon MEMS vaporizing liquid micro thruster for micro/nanosatellite applications (ISRO sponsored) and lab-on-chip for water quality analysis (A*STAR Singapore sponsored).
