About Deven Kothari
My colleagues would say that I am driven by the trust and key relationships I have developed with customers.In my previous role, I worked in my family–owned business, Jay Instruments & Systems Pvt Ltd. I led a team of 3 people, managing the sales of Konica Minolta’s Color and Light measuring solutions in India with their support. I helped customers standardize their colour management through the adoption of our solutions, improve the acceptance of their product and thereby improve their top line. I also analyzed customer behaviour, reporting what stage a customer is at of making a purchase. These reports assisted in sales forecasting and customer retention. In my current role at Jay Instruments & Systems Pvt. Ltd., I am assisting in the development of our new website launch, and the implementation of ISO, Lean, Salesforce CRM and other systems across all the divisions of the organization.My other specialities include:• Product launch – Along with support from the head of the department, we discuss the potential of new product launches in India with Konica Minolta’s Asia–Pacific team. • Cost reductions – ensuring that while travelling on sales calls, the team remains within budget permitted• Customer–driven management – a strong principle to resolve the customer’s problems• Sales Training – training sales executives about the products: unique features, competitor’s products, pricing strategy.My hobbies include: • Trekking – Have been trekking for 8 years and have covered most of the popular spots near Mumbai. Also completed an Outdoor Leadership Course from the Hanifl Center for Outdoor Education in the Himalayas.• Half – Marathon running. I ran for 7 years between 2013 and 2020, during which I ran 6 half marathons and several shorter races. Ever since COVID running has taken a backseat, but I hope to be back soon.
