• Worked with many application engineers from multiple Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) -TVGuide, Rovi, Seachange, FourthWall, TVWorks/CVA, ActiveVideo, Zodiac, Comcast, Charter on multiple issues found during porting of their applications to the ARRIS Set Top Boxes. • Triaged and helped in troubleshooting of multiple customer issues at pre and post deployment sites. Worked with firmware and ARRIS Technical Response Team (TRC) team members to conduct root cause analysis, analysis of MPEG streams using Sencore, collection of firmware debug logs, replicate issues using sample applications and bug tracking using Jira. • Integrated the IIPs provided by Verizon with the ARRIS firmware to create the builds needed for the VMS and IPC platforms for internal and external testing. Worked internally with the tools and firmware team members to collect logs when the builds failed to diagnose issues and created appropriate defects for tracking purpose. Responsible for maintaining build spreadsheet that kept track of the components for each build. • Developed sample application(s) that exercised newly developed APIs in the firmware. Daily activities also heavily involved triage/test harness application/driver development, application/firmware bug fixes and on conference calls discussing critical issues blocking deployment with firmware team members. • Visited several MSO sites for issues that were impacting deployment when required for expedited data collection. • Developed and maintained the SDK (Software Development Kit) which is a collection of sample applications written in C and C++ to exercise various APIs of the firmware. The SDK was ported to run on multiple platforms and different development environments for the ARRIS Legacy Set Top Boxes (DCT2000, DCT2500, DCH70/100/200, DCH6416, DCX3200, DCX3400).• Helped maintain the API Guide for ARRIS Legacy Set Top Boxes. Wrote and updated many ENBs (Engineering Note Books).

• Worked with firmware team members and system engineer(s) to develop application that supported Picture and Picture using High Resolution Advanced Graphics APIs for the Advanced Set Top Boxes that helped root cause and replicate issues while the feature was developed at customer site. This feature in now being deployed at Comcast and Rogers on TVGuide A32, Rovi IGuides. • Worked with Solutions team members to develop the Software Development Kit that would run across all Legacy Set Top Boxes. • Worked with networking socket APIs for middleware development for ActiveVideo /Dream Gallery Proof of Concept.• Developed application to exercise Addressable Advertisement APIs added to Core and ASTB (Advanced Set Top Boxes) firmware for the Comanche, Comcast project. Work involved testing MPEG streams developed by VisibleWorld, replicating issues found by TVWorks/CVA and creating Jira defects to track issues.• Participated and helped in analysis and debugging of issues found in Comanche, Dragon, Eagle Comcast projects and coordinated with multiple engineers from TVGuide, Seachange, TVWorks and Comcast.

• Helped develop MPEGStills support in the DCT700 firmware. Issues found during development were coordinated with engineers from FreeScale, Chile and Motorola. Feature is currently being used by OpenTV, Seachange Video-On-Demand clients to render images.• Assisted in validation of VisionICEI, VisionICEII, VisionClick debugging toolset developed by WindRiver for debugging with DCT2000/DCT2500 set top boxes. Attended training for VxWorks at WindRiver, Canton, MA.• Helped with creating the DCT2500 Set Top box and porting of existing deployed DCT2000 ISV applications to the DCT2500. Provided short presentation to team on the major features of this box compared to the DCT2000.Work was coordinated with firmware development team in San Diego and many ISV application engineers from TVGuide, Seachange, TVWorks, N2Broadband. Assisted in the development and testing of the Cygwin toolchain which is currently used to build/compile applications for the DCT2500/DCH70/100/200/DCT700 family of Core Set Top Boxes.

• Worked with senior engineers on integration and porting of ISV application for the DCT1800/DCT1700/DCT2000 Core Set Top box family. The ISVs primarily included Guide and Video On Demand developers- TVGuide, SeaChange.• Attended multiple training and seminars on Cable Headend Equipment, MPEG, General Firmware Design and multi-threaded architecture.
