CABS is the billing system that telephone companies use to bill interexchangeCarriers (i.e., AT&T, MCI, etc.) for the use of the telephone company’s facilities. Anylong distance call originating from or terminating to customers of the telephoneCompany is subject to CABS access charges. The access bills paid by the IXC’s havea direct effect on the long distance charges billed to their end users or customers.CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE PROJECT Operation Activities End to End processing of CDRs of all companies and maintaining logs .Configuration of new CIC and OCN’s along with new codes Invoice generation monthly on SLA dates on accurate basis.Generation of Tickets for issues and dispute resolutions.Excellent communication skill with US team to resolve all issues Uploading TPM on a monthly basis.Error Clearance of aborted files.Error re runs done before billing.CABS Tool I work on a tool named MARTIN OMNIA which is used to process all CDRs or files received on the Switch. The processes performed are for US telephone operators as Access billing.

• CDR processing related: Renaming CDR on L1 tax servers, transferring of CDR between L1 tax servers, Re-processing of CDR & duplicate removal for same.• Configuration and Troubleshooting: Trunk Groups, Working Levels, Generating reports for Client and MBT on regular updates for the same. • Dispute Resolving:- Handling Change Request submitted by client and resolve dispute depends on call duration and charge/pricing over that duration.• Troubleshooting: Finding corrupt records in CDR files, removal, Clearing the system and reprocessing. Wrong Trunk Group configuration and rectification for the same. • Business Objects: Handling and Generating BO reports on Daily.MCUs and Duration Upload - Follow up with POIs to Upload MCUs and Duration on Web Portal. BSNL-IOBAS Web-Portal -Development, Issues, Queries, daily activities• Implementation of new rate plans, IUC circulars, and service levels etc.• To do the impact analysis for new service implementation.• Documentation of all the new configurations in the system.• To prepare process plans and procedures to handle new implementations in the system.• Revenue Assurance.• Dispute resolution and Reconciliation.• Managing pre post invoicing issues.• Charging and pricing related disputes.• Clearance of error CDRs by taking feedback from client. • My current role is testing of applications involved in the solution.
