- Assist customers in carrying out basic transactions such as deposits and withdrawals.- Accepts cash, checks and other forms of payment from customers and maintains slips.- Verify customer identity and ensure documents are completed correctly.- Ensuring customers have sufficient funds to pay transaction fees at the bank.- Answer customer questions about their savings as well as the services and products offered by the bank.- Ensure that the cash and checks received are genuine.- Ensure that the deposit amount and documents provided by the customer have been approved.- Saves all consumer transactions to the bank's computer system and ensures that the data entered is accurate.- Calculate the amount of cash before and after working hours to ensure there is no shortage of transaction money.- Check for errors in transactions when credits and debits do not balance.- Recommends specific bank products and directs interested customers to appropriate bank employees.- Understand and follow applicable banking laws and bank procedures.
