• Responsible for Pension Calculations and payment of Pension Benefit for Mid-Market Clients.
• Responsible for the interpretation and application of Policies and Procedures
• Responsible for ensuring Member and Client inquires received by phone or e-mail are handled.
• Completing member packages for terminations, retirements, and deaths which include performing pension calculations, creating letters, handling settlements, and authorizations;
• Act as a client contact for day-to-day processing. Raise any potential issues with Manager
• Handle call escalations;

• Work on transition from DOS based to Web based Pension and Benefits administration system
• Responsible for one-on-one staff training on use of System
• Communicate and work with third party vendor to resolve system problems and discrepancies
• Co-ordinate monthly billing and ensure questions or discrepancies are resolved
• Maintain filing system, ordering supplies and other administrative duties as required

• Responsible for the transition of Clients Benefits & Pension Administration function from U.S.
• Co-ordinate with Client and vendors to ensure timely administration of Pension, Benefits Plans
• Work with HR partners to create and promote departmental procedures for each work function
• Monitor key success metrics and ensure that Member inquires received by phone or e-mail are responded to within the Client’s Service Level Agreement Metrics and Business Requirements
• Develop workflow documents for each Pension and Benefit Administration duty
• Participate in Annual Open Enrolment Project and various other projects throughout the year

• Provide DB and DC pension/benefits guidance and administration to 4700+ unionized member
• Plan and execute employee benefits communication sessions during partial plan windup
• Perform daily pension administrative functions as required in administering the Loblaw unionized DB pension plan: enrolments, termination, retirement, death and marriage breakdown calculations
• Respond to Employee and Retiree inquiries regarding Pension and Benefit Plans
• Manage Lotus Notes Tracking System of employee inquiries and close requests
• Maintain relationship with union representatives, fund trustee and actuarial consultants
