As the Circular Economy Intern, I managed the outreach, logistics, and communication for the MoveOutATX program that reached almost 2,000 Austin residents and diverted over 40 tons of usable material from the landfill. I also planned city programs that engaged local businesses in sustainability, such as Circular Meet-Ups and Fix-It Clinics, and I communicated City resources to over 500 stakeholders. Analyzing and interpreting data and feedback for 5 City programs allowed me to craft forward-looking strategy. Through this position, I learned how the City government coordinates with local businesses and residents to encourage and increase sustainable infrastructure, while navigating state and local policy.

As a co-leader of the Green Events project during online learning in the spring of 2021, I developed and presented education materials to various student organizations and designed an initiative to create a circular waste management system in on campus residence halls. With the return of in-person events, I advised student organizations on how they can host zero waste events, and I collaborated with my co-leader to manage the project's goals, daily tasks, and five team members.

By the end of my third semester in this role, I read and edited over 240 student seminar papers for content and clarity through the Undergraduate Studies Professionalism in Health Care class for TIP scholars. I provided the students with constructive feedback and taught them about important writing principles. I also guided them through a 4-week-long research project about a museum artifact of their choice. Coordinating with the professors and team of TAs became even more crucial during the transition to online learning in Fall 2020, and I continued to do so in a hybrid format.

Placed update trash and recycling bin signage on over 30 buildings on campus as part of an initiative to optimize bin placement and labeling. The goal of this project was to reduce contamination of recycling bins to help UT reach its Zero Waste goals. I collaborated closely with my team members to determine the optimal placement of bins and signs, as well as to carefully track sign placement and team progress.

As a Preceptor for the Liberal Arts Honors class Reacting to the Past, I worked closely with the professor to teach history and writing through immersive role-playing of significant historical events. I read and edited a class of 28 student papers over two semesters for content, clarity, and effective persuasion. I also advised students on game-play strategy and team work. Additionally, transitioning a lively in-person class to an equally enriching online format posed a challenge and required consistent communication with the students and the professor.
