GenderBenders is a Gender Sensitisation initiative started by Teach for India Fellows in 2020. Our mission is to equip individuals to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills to create a gender-equal world. We work with students from low income communities in Delhi to train them to gender equality advocates in their communities and families. 1. Leading the team to successfully plan, design and execute the first two phases of the project that directly impacted 50 students and parents across Delhi.2. Strategised the expansion of  the project with IIM-A to 30 secondary classrooms and 100+ families  in Delhi.3. Monitoring impact and implementation of curriculum and the intervention to strategically deepen impact.

1. Recruited and trained over 650 interns from various colleges across the country to facilitate sessions for adolescent girls and boys in over 80 government residential schools across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. 2. Monitoring the facilitation of activity-based sessions by interns around the themes of health, safety, rights and future planning to achieve marked change in knowledge, attitudes and perceptions of adolescents.3. Fostered deep relationships with diverse stakeholders of over 50 colleges to conduct First Information Sessions for students from various fields as part of the recruitment process. 4. Liaison and coordinated field visits during sessions for funder visits, while sharing information about the recruitment and selection process of interns.5. Documented impact stories from the field in diverse forms like camp reports, blog articles and an intensive amalgamated case study on the journey of the organisation.

1. Developed leadership and literacy skills for 8th-10th grade students in a low income government school using Social Science and English CBSE curriculum.2.Curated personalised learning plans for low-rigour students to push for learning.3.Raised Rs. 80,000 that provided ration and medical support to 50+ students through Open Mic events for various art forms.4. Worked to create a gender sensitised community by co-planning spaces with students to discuss, analyse and evaluate the problems faced by families.

Worked with 10 Fellows from the upcoming cohort to help them understand the Fellowship better and prepare a base for their own Fellowship journey.

1. Worked with a team of 4 Fellows to plan, curate and organise events for students across Delhi. We organised 2 virtual events with 100+ participants in each centred around student voices and expression.2. Designed and facilitated sessions for students to reflect on gender inequality in fairytales. 3. Organised an in-person event called Durbar for students and Fellows to showcase their art form and talents.

1. Raised Rs. 14,000 to provide relief support for migrant workers during the first wave of the Pandemic.2. Led a team of 6 people to successfully plan, design and execute virtual Open Mics to create awareness around the impact of the Pandemic on low-income communities and marginalised societies.

1. Developed a Spoken Word Poetry course for middle school students across India.2. Analysed student responses and feedback to assess curriculum impact and gauge progress for student goals.3. Created monitoring and evaluation structures to track student progress through student submission data.
