Devika Jay is the Chief Executive Officer at GRIDsentry, a power grid cybersecurity startup. She also works as a substation automation/cybersecurity consultant engineer at Control Infotech Inc.Before Control Infotech Inc, Devika served as Deputy Manager at Power Grid Corporation of India Limited. During her eight years of service in POWERGRID, she gained experience in:1. Planning of transmission system at 765kV and 400kV level2. System studies and grant of Long Term and Medium Term Open Access3. Commissioning of 400kV Mysore – Kozhikode D/c Line with 400/220kV Substation (2 Nos. of 315 MVAICT and 50MVAR Line Reactors)4. Commissioning of 400/220kV 315MVA ICT with Emergency restoration system5. Operation and maintenance of 400/220kV Kozhikode substation, Kerala.She received her doctoral degree in power systems from IIT Madras for her thesis titled "Analysis of Market Mechanisms for Reactive Power Ancillary Service". The thesis won "The Best PhD thesis award in data science", IIT Madras Alumnite day award, 2021. The thesis also received the prestigious "POSOCO Power Systems Award (PPSA)", 2022. During her post doctoral fellow at RBCDSAI, IIT Madras she gained experience in industrial applications of AI/ML.
