I provide guidance and mentorship to the undergraduate BMED students to enhance their computational systems biology learning experience, which includes the modelling process, various types of models, standard analysis and simulation of systems, and applications in real-world biological systems.

Led MDPF Bottle Dispense Force Optimization and Supported MDPF (Multidose Preservative Free) Valve Design. - Modelling & assembling 13 complex mechanical MDPF components (and valve assemblies), in SolidWorks.- Conceptualized, designed and 3D printed 14 unique bottle shapes with different geometry. Conducted squeeze test across varying fill levels (100%, 60%, 20%) on all prototypes and recorded the force required to dispense a drop for each geometry. - Selected the most superior geometry; achieved up to 55% reduction in force required to dispense a drop MDPF valve. - Optimized the design & the dimensions of most superior shape by leading a DOE; further reducing the dispense force to 64%. - Optimized the process by fitting the experimental data into a regression model; saving 14 hours required for prototyping 1 bottle. With input variables as the dimensions of the bottle, this model enabled instant & accurate prediction of drop dispense force for those dimensions with a r-sq of 96.7%.

Office of Technology Licensing – Entrepreneurship Assistant As a part of this job, I conduct technology commercialization assessment on one of the Georgia Tech’s faculty invention disclosures by supporting Primary Market Research (Customer discovery and validation), Industry Analysis (Conducting IP analysis, SWOT & PEST analysis, and by building a Business Model and applying Entrepreneurial Strategy Compass (ESC) to assess potential go-to-market.

Supported and Led ISO80369-7 Luer Remediation Maintaining Product Safety, Quality and Documentation for Regulatory Submissions- Owned adherence to ISO 13485:2016 QMS, 21 CFR 820 cGMP, and ISO 10555-1 standards for 25% of Advanced Access Devices.- Reviewed 6+ drawings and 10+ Design Input Requirement (DIR) documents, developed 4 Design and Development Plans (DDP).- Collaborated with 5 cross-functional teams to conduct 4 design reviews with zero errors on the first attempt.- Developed & executed 4 DV protocols, determined sample sizes, coordinated sample shipment and testing of over 3,000 samples.- Performed Process Capability Analysis (Cpk) using Minitab to create 4 detailed DV reports, effectively mitigating errors.

Led Competitive Benchmarking for BD’s Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICCs) & PICCs 2021 Complaints Data Analysis- Led the competitive benchmarking against 12+ industry competitors and a thorough analysis of 2021 complaints data for PICCs - Discovered 3 major unmet needs, laying the groundwork for future New Product Development projects. - Utilized findings to conceptualize a mechanism to reduce blood leakage while accessing internal jugular vein using a combination product. Illustrated the concept using SolidWorks. Filed an Invention Disclosure Record (IDR).
