Directly in-charge of 40 Technicians, including three Lead Mechanics. Responsible for employee training, hiring, development and evaluations. Worked with Vendors and Supply Chain to reduce Job Stops in 320 by better than 25%, and partner with vendors and suppliers to improve reliability and to provide cost savings to Delta. Responsible for daily operations of Northwest's Avionics Shops (Radio/Instrument, Automated Test, and Electric). Managed 5 managers across two shifts with annual and bi-annual evaluations of job performance, training and compliance.Monitor critical parts to prevent inventory shortages of items repaired in the avionics shops and manage some outside vendors, for long term repair and/or spare contracts entered during the 2005 AMFA strike. Creatively used staff to maximize limited resources to work critical product. Partner with other departments to streamline workflow and policies. Ensured compliance to both company and federal regulations.Active member with the Northwest 'Lean Council'. Promoted LEAN concepts and principles within NWA. Facilitated LEAN Training and Projects throughout TechOps, mentoring and helping whenever possible or needed.

Managed daily shop operations of 75 technicians. Duties included personnel, budget, regulatory and critical parts requirements. Monitor and maintain shop performance metrics.

Part of change organization to train and bring empowerment philosophy to technicians. Provided training to employees in the shop environment, both hands on and classroom instruction. Developed and delivered policy and procedure training and other avionics related training as coordinated with avionics management staff.
