Since a young age Devin has had an interest in technology. Taking apart broken VCR’s to see how they worked was only the beginning. One day when he came across Codeacademy and spent 8 hours that day learning HTML and CSS, he knew that he was hooked and wanted to work in Software Development. Shortly thereafter, Devin graduated from The Iron Yard as a Full Stack Engineer with a focus on the front-end. During his time there, he made many contributions to Github and worked on several projects as a team. His most rewarding project was a Notes App created using React and store.js.As a Specialist in the Indiana Army National Guard, he has learned time management tools and how to stay calm under pressure. With his previous work at Collective Alternative, Devin has shown he can complete tasks on schedule and communicate well with other departments. He has completed several websites using WordPress and a handful of other Content Management System’s from beginning to end; including working with the hosting and domain sites. Devin continues to evolve as a developer, make contributions to Github, learning more languages, and gain more insight into the languages already known. His main goal is to be at a company where he can commit clean code every day and contribute to software that will be used by millions.
