Collaborating with Juniors and Seniors at Beloit Memorial High School & Beloit Learning Academy, who are experiencing homelessness and are unaccompanied by a parent or guardian. The Graduation Coach assists this student population with basic needs (food, housing, hygiene, etc.), high school graduation (credit recovery and monitoring of grades), and post-secondary planning (college, living wage job, and/or military). Highlight: Achieving a 100% graduation rate for the unaccompanied youth on caseload, presenting nationally about the Graduation Coach position to other school districts, and building rapport with our youth.

Supervision of 2-5 staff/intern members and 15+ Coordinators who supervise 200+ volunteers. Analysis and creation of policies for shelter programs. Grant writing and tracking for all programs Family Promise of Greater Beloit oversees. Training, retention, and gaining of volunteers. The public figure for the company. Overseeing fundraising. Tracking and maintaining the budget, etc. Highlight: Continuation of programming through the adversity of the COVID-19 pandemic and additionally, doubling annual financial budget revenue through the ability to gain funding through grants.

Intensive Case Management- Helping find local resources and programs to aid in clients’ mental health or substance use issues. Working with landlords to secure housing. Intake paperwork, physical outreach, collection/management of donations, etc. Fundraising efforts and managing of volunteers. The average caseload was 25-30 clients.Highlight: Being one of the founding members of Janesville’s FOCUS (Finding Opportunities to Collaborate and Unite Services) committee. Furthermore, being on a subcommittee of this group that looked into parking spaces for individuals to safely stay in their cars overnight and gain resources. This committee continued on to win the Excellence in Advocacy Award through United Way Blackhawk Region.
