Project: Commercial Delivery Van-Worked onsite and remote with a client and their suppliers to design, integrate, engineer, and test lighting systems, windshield wiper and washer systems, air conditioning systems, coolant hoses, and a 360 degree camera system. Design work was done using CATIA V5 and Windchill.-Worked onsite with our client’s engineering and purchasing teams to generate and maintain a bill of materials in Excel during design feasibility studies and contract proposal work for a low/moderate volume delivery van.Project: New Product Launch (Defense Vehicle)-Worked onsite with clients to set up the build process for a defense vehicle on an accelerated schedule. This included work instruction creation in ProPlanner and laying out the build process on existing manufacturing lines by assigning tasks and parts to build stations using JD Edwards World software.-Provided onsite build support for the launch of the product including documenting and correcting issues with the product found during the assembly process.Project: CAD Software Pilot-Piloted the use of Onshape (a cloud based CAD software) to recreate an internally designed product that was previously created in Creo Parametric. This was done to determine the feasibility and ease of using Onshape for all future internally designed products.

Project: Hone Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)-Calculated the OEE of the engine cylinder honing machine and compared it to world class manufacturing standards as well as other machines in the manufacturing plant.-Improved OEE score by generating a pareto analysis to identify the top three downtime contributors for maintenance technicians to focus on.Project: E-COAT Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)-Identified the source of a failure mode that created downtime, had a high likelihood of becoming a safety hazard, and damaged parts by setting up an optical failure mode detection system.-Presented potential solutions to the manufacturing leadership team.

Project: Incorrect Camshaft Timing Detection-Recorded test data from a calibrated baseline engine, as well as the same engine with the camshaft timing modified, to log differences in the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor data.-Utilized statistical analysis to define the MAP sensor pressure deviations that identify an engine with incorrect camshaft timing.Project: Idle Air Controller (IAC) Percentage-Using data acquisition software on a test engine, I documented several possible pieces of hardware that increase the IAC percentage and cause a high idle condition. This data was made available to the quality team to develop an inspection protocol for identifying nonconforming parts.
