Worked with the Flight Dynamics team in Dulles, VA. Responsibilities included providing orbital analysis through STK to subsystems such as power and thermal, rendezvous and proximity operations for CYGNUS, proposal writing and analysis for cislunar ARTEMIS missions around the Gateway orbit,and improving upon the low-thrust solver developed the previous.

Worked with the Flight Dynamics team in the Innovation Systems branch located in Dulles, VA. Responsibilities included assisting with day to day operations such as proposal writing, delivering orbital trajectory products for the Cygnus spacecraft to NASA, and being the lead developer for a hybrid optimization trajectory software focused on low-thrust.

San Francisco Bay Area

Assisted the development of a high-fidelity power model of the Earth monitoring CubeSats to enable more efficient duty cycling of the satellite constellation. Tasks included developing calibration functions that utilize a hybrid optimal control scheme to converge on accurate model coefficients, developing scripts to update the satellite models on a regular.

Working on a research grant from NASA’s Small Spacecraft Technology Program developing a SmallSat active thermal management system. Responsibilities include development of a thermal model to aid in working fluid selection, design of microchannel connectors to the panel, design of a leak test chamber, and design of a 0.5 U support module which includes pump.

This was a one week camp participated in for two summers. Instructed high school students ages fourteen to eighteen in basic orbital mechanics which covered Keplerian two-body motion, Newtonian gravitational attraction, and an overview of the basic conic orbits. Assisted the students in constructing model gliders and model rockets based on the design.
