Current- Read RFP/RFQ or ITB thoroughly for important dates, required subcontractors, and any other relevant information needed to provide a complete estimate.- Review and print SD, DD, or CD drawings and review to get the complete scope of work and understanding of what components (phasing, afterhours, special trades, etc.) are needed for the project.- Create folders in shared drives and set up project in BuildingConnected with all documents, information, and subcontractors needed to complete all aspects of construction.- Complete On-screen Takeoffs on each project and create leveling sheets on Microsoft Excel showing each trades scope of work with the quantities from On-screen Takeoff.- Visit sites to clear up any missing information, to obtain better understanding of construction documents, and to allow subcontractors to obtain information they need.- Send out RFI’s for any questions that cannot be answered and make sure subcontractors receive all addendums.- Level subcontractor’s bids to ensure no scope is missing and add to Excel spreadsheet. Compare subcontractors and add lowest bidder to schedule of values.- Complete proposal letter, qualifications, alternates page, subcontractor listing, bid forms, etc. needed to send complete bid package.- Conduct internal meetings with project management team to review schedule and completed bid package.- Send submission to client and follow up with any information needed when response is received.
