I’ve been a practicing financial planner since early 2003. The first 8 years were spent in a big brand-name firm. Since 2010, I’ve been at my own firm Carroll Advisory Group. And then in 2012, Social Security changed my life. (Yeah...seriously.)The transformation happened when I was forced to admit that I knew almost nothing about how Social Security worked (despite having spent the past decade helping people with retirement planning). I'm still now sure why, but once I cracked through the surface of the SSA rulebook, I was hooked. There was something captivating about all the rules. They were complex...yet they made sense. To share what I was learning with others, I founded the Social Security Intelligence platform which now has over a million users per month. My ultimate goal in all the education I provide is that something I write, say or share can help reduce the stress of retirement planning and let my audience turn their focus to the things that really matter – family, friends & health.
