Maintains operational control of Sunrise Aviation KOMN and Ormond Beach Municipal Airport FBO. Safely and efficiently manages a rolling fleet of over 100 aircraft across four Sunrise Aviations locations; KOMN, KLAL, KVQQ, and KSGJ. Ormond Beach Airport is the HQ and serves as the maintenance hub for the entire fleet. Evaluates meteorological information to determine potential hazards to safety of flight, reviews student flight plans and aircraft acceptance documents, and reviews NOTAMS and other informational components required for flight operations.Reviews aircraft acceptance documentation, weight and balance calculations, and weather products and services.Releases flights, maintains logs, records flight times, briefs the Director of Operations on aircraft maintenance requirements, and monitors students progress. Delays or cancels flights if unsafe conditions threaten the safety of flight.Participates in interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, and terminating line staff and dispatchers as required. Maintains line staff training records; works with senior management to ensure compliance with regulatory and company training requirements with regards to the line staff.FAA Written Exam Proctor; onsite testing center.
