Previously worked as a wilderness therapy guide for Pacific quest for 4 years where I facilitated daily activities of clients based on their personal therapeutic goals and reported back to managers and therapists through diligent note taking and weekly meetings.Before that I served in the United States Peace Corps as an English Teacher, Teacher trainer, and community developer in a remote town in the Koh Kong Province of Cambodia. My service will last from July 2013- August 2015.I also have much experience in customer service having worked in various restaurants and stores before delving into my career field.-- Bachelor of Arts degree in Geographic Science: Environmental Conservation, Sustainability and Development from James Madison University-- Foreign language: Intermediate Khmer, Intermediate Italian-- Practical knowledge and background working with GIS software -- Studied sustainability and permaculture Costa Rica, Cambodia, and the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia, West Virginia, and Kentucky.-- Background working with students of varying ages and backgrounds for many years, including my work as a Teachers Assistant and cultural tutor at James Madison University as well as teaching primary and secondary school students during my current Peace Corps service -- Experience working with adult learners within a remote village in Sre Ambel, Koh Kong, Cambodia and NGOs from various countries.-- Extensive work with capacity building and development in the education sector of Cambodia.-- Experience in planning, organizing and facilitating large organizational events i.e. Camp "GLOW" (Girls Leading Our World) a young women's leadership camp in rural Cambodia
