Primary focal point for FAA Management concerns and escalations towards FTI Network outages and degradations ensuring fast and timely restoration. Partner closely with Operations Management to identify and resolve complex network and carrier related outages and trends while keeping FAA Management informed.Develop, execute, and advise FAA Management of appropriate course of action to resolve intermittent and chronic operational issues in collaboration with FTI Chronics, TIER II and Operations Management teams. Monitor daily FTI Network operational activities and service level performance to ensure standards of National Air Space Operations are sustained as expected by the FAA and Air Traffic Organizations.

Responsible for leading and managing a department of over 70 highly skilled Field Engineers and Field Technicians across a 22 state region supporting mission critical FAA Programs including FAAs Telecommunications Infrastructure (FTI), FTI Security, National Airspace (NAS) Enterprise Messaging Service (NEMS), Data Communications (Datacom), Weather and Radar Processing (WARP), Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B), Common Support Services – Weather (CSS-Wx) and Voice Switching and Communications Systems (VSCS) providing operational, integration and customer service functions across TDM and IP platforms.Supported other government and commercial programs such as Information Technology Infrastructure Program (ITIP), Radio Frequency Interference Monitoring System (RFIMS), Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC), and Public Safety and Professional Communications (PS&PC). Provide technical, performance, and growth guidance to direct reports as well as cross functional teams ensuring training and mentorship initiatives to groom and enhance career opportunities as well as retain high potential and high performing talent.

Identify and implement Operational and Process Improvement initiatives in collaboration with FTI Operations Management Leadership for 140+ Field Engineers and technicians supporting over 5000 FAA locations nationwide. Ensure conformance with program schedules, SLA’s, standards, budgets, procedures, policies and processes in the execution of services and development of deliverables. Utilize Remedy ITSM for Incident Management and data analytics.

Supervised 6 Field Technicians in a four state region working operations and implementation for the FTI program as well as many other Field Service Group supported programs. Serve as technical escalation point for network issues including backbone routing, router configuration, and network related services.
