• Create a feedforward neural network to learn kinematic model of a 3DOF system• Train a ANFIS model to compare to the neural network model and a kNN model• Design a control system with Matlab, C++, Arduino, Meta Quest Joystick, and 3D trakStar 6 Degrees of Freedom position sensor.• Employ inverse kinematics of a 3 Degrees of Freedom soft robot to maneuver the links to achieve the desired endpoints.• Write a communication link between the C++ API for the 3D trakStar and Matlab model via an internal socket.• Utilize an asynchronous Arduino library to communicate with the Matlab model and control the servos in real-time.

• Published and presented at IEEE SouthEastCon 2022 on a 6 Degrees of Freedom (6DOF) Robot based on the Stewart Platform.• Published at ASME 2022 on a 6DOF Robot with three fewer links than the 6DOF robot presented at IEEE.• Constructed CAD models of both 6DOF robots’ joints, flexible arms, and rigid components in Solidworks.• 3D printed the models in Polylactic acid (PLA) and Ninjaflex Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) filament.• Developed algorithms to display the workspaces of both robots using Arduinos and servos.• Modeled the movements of both robots to mimic 3D simulations carried out in Matlab Simscape.• Coordinated and directed experimentation with data collection on position and force for both publications.
