This internship consisted of more of a design role as I was tasked with designing and eventually implementing a life testing fixture for a current tool. By individually creating this life testing fixture from start to finish, I had to manage and organize the project on a week-by-week schedule in Excel, brainstorm multiple designs and choose a final design based on design criteria, create a bill of materials, and test the final assembled product.

This internship consisted of learning the basics of running tests and making adjustments based on the DOE factors. I was tasked with monitoring and testing the life of different hardness bits. Based on the life of the different hardness bits, I wrote a test report including all the test data and the recommended course of action with regards to the best bit hardness.
