As a technical lead and scrum master within AI Factory, I am responsible for teams of 5-10 people (some remote) across multiple streams of our biggest, globally selling product. I am responsible for technical delivery of new features, including scoping, estimation, resourcing, and implementation. I conduct code reviews, facilitate interviews, train new technical hires, and assist in defining the product roadmap. I have tutored intro, intermediate, and advanced Python/Java privately, and intermediate Python as an University in-lab appointed tutor. As an in-lab tutor, my job was to oversee a lab of approximately forty students, providing help and guidance to any student in need. Attending three two-hour lab sessions a week, I assisted students with their lab projects (building a connect four game, file search systems, graphical Othello games using the tkinter library, and much more), furthering their understanding of the Python programming language. I helped students through the debugging process, providing tips on ways to optimize their code. Not only did I help students understand better, but I solidified my understanding of the language as well.

In fall quarter 2014, I co-founded a new club at UC Irvine - the application development club. In this club, we worked through mobile development workshops, as well as worked in small groups to create phone applications. This club aimed to build development skills which were not directly taught in our course curriculum.My job as chief technology officer was to put together various workshops to help build member's development skills, and to oversee group's coding process. At BookingPal, I worked on many different programming tasks. I mainly focused on integrating partner companies' software systems into BookingPal's cloud platform through intensive Java programs. Everyday, I worked with SQL databases, XML (including SOAP), JSON feeds, REST calls, and Java. Along with integrations, I worked on HTML newsletters that are sent to thousands of clients, and did intensive unit testing on many different aspects of the system and integrations.

Accepted to the highly competitive Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship in Information Technology (SURF-IT) program, I participated in the research study titled "Designing a Task Awareness App for College Students." I worked under mentorship of the Associate Dean of Education, Dr. Mark Warschauer to develop a new mobile web task manager that induces task awareness and motivation in college students. Throughout this process, I developed my leadership and collaboration skills, mobile web application programming, quality assurance and testing procedure knowledge, as well as research skills including interviewing and data analysis. I created an intensive design document, and fully coded and tested the application by myself. I also presented my research to top research faculty at UCI.

I assisted in researching college student's multitasking habits, relating habits to stress level (decided through analysis of survey questions, heart rate, productivity level) in order to see whether high multitasking leads to a student's success or failures. I worked alongside Informatics and Education professors, as well as graduate students in the relating fields. I assisted in developing a simple Android application, which would send participants surveys throughout the study in a way that is more efficient than emails. I installed various applications on participant's cell phones and computers, tracking their task switching, whereabouts throughout the day, time spent on social networks, text messages sent and received, and various Facebook data. The research project recently got published, and the lead researchers are continuously looking for new ways to analyze the data for publication.
