In my current capacity as the Director of Technology Integration for the UCBHSSP, I have engaged the Project in exploring the challenge of utilizing technology tools in pursuit of these same literacy-related Common Core skills. Some of my work includes:PD leader: I work with schools and districts to provide short and long-term professional development for teachers. This work focuses on training discipline-specific literacy skills and incorporating technology, where appropriate, to support learning.Summer Institute / Workshop Presenter: Work with other presenters to develop and implement workshops and summer institutes: “Examples include Implementing the Common Core “and “Teaching with Media and Primary Sources”, "Technology and the Common Core - Supporting Student Research". My focus area is on integration of technology into the curriculum. Teacher Research Group (TRG) of the UCB HSSP: Participant in a team of experienced Bay Area teachers collaborating on the development, testing and revision of tools for teaching academic literacy and analytical thinking in alignment with Common Core Standards. Wiki front-end and database back-end developer: Designed to centralize and provide access to UCB HSSP teaching resources and lesson plans and to serves as a platform for teacher participants during Summer Institutes and workshops. Education consultant in Social Studies and Math education in local schools.(Note that prior to 2016, my work with the Project was as an independent contractor)

SARVAM is an indigenous NGO in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu: Developed and implemented curriculum in computer technology and technology-supported learning for youth in rural villages. I was responsible for customizing applications, developing the teaching materials, training the instructors and staff, and redesigning the computer lab infrastructure. I am currently coordinating a team of programmers to build an auxiliary application to enhance customization of one of the programs to allow it to function more appropriately in a rural setting. (2011 - present)
