I believe that Information technology is supposed to support the company, and its employees. The objective is to make jobs easier, less stressful, more efficient and accurate. This needs to happen from the server level all the way down to the end user devices. I believe that the end user shouldn't say "I don’t want to Call IT, it’s just a headache." Instead they should say "IT has my back".Ideally they should not need to call IT in the first place, but in the times that they do, the process should be quick and easy.The cloud introduces a new dynamic into the corporate arena. Cloud based solutions are enabling consumerization of what used to be corporate only services. This can set an un-realistic expectation for end users of corporate IT services. End users have the capability of adopting any technology they want, regardless of the protections behind the service, as an individual the risk of breach can be small. The corporate environment must exercise caution in making sure that data is protected, and able to be interconnected within the organization. It can be difficult to capitalize on data when it is isolated into a single system.Cloud service providers must be responsible for protecting data and enabling organizations to assign access to the appropriate employees. They also must make sure that the services they provide can fit into the organizations regulatory requirements. Corporate IT organizations must also realize that the way users work with IT is different, this change can bring new risks that will have to be mitigated and controlled. If done correctly the end result can yield extremely high returns.
