After my graduation in the spring of 2021, I have returned to Auburn University to pursue a second degree in Industrial Design Studies. I have been very passionate about the design field since high school and would love to someday achieve my dream of working as a designer. I have gone through a summer design intensive and now am working in a studio setting to learn more about the industry. I will be graduating in May 2022 and cannot wait to be a member of the industrial design industry. It was only after almost 12 years of Spanish education that I realized the true importance of pursuing a second language. When I began college I only had anticipated achieving a minor in Spanish but went on to switch my major and become a full-time Spanish student. The benefits that come with the knowledge and proficiency of a second language are sometimes difficult to achieve but can drastically change one's worldview. One of the biggest lessons I have learned through my Spanish education is that Spanish is more than just a language, it is a culture and a life tool.
