Once assigned to the 16th Combat Aviation Brigade, I was assigned to be the Service Team leader, and shortly promoted to be a maintenance manager. This unit operated at a new level which came with a lot more challenges than I was use to. While working there I was trained to manage my section using the global combat support system which is an advance system that helps us create work orders, pull and organize service schedules, dispatch vehicles, order new parts and track their status. It was crucial that this system was constantly updated so that managers of a higher echelon could login and properly track the equipment status of our fleet. I was also assigned to work as the Shop safety leader and Fire Safety officer. Also while assigned to being the Service team leader, I was responsible for maintaining over 450,000 dollars worth of property which I was responsible for. I also worked over 14 subordinates maintaining accountability, training them and assisting them with any issues that may arise. I am a firm believer in servant leadership. I work for them.

During my time in South Korea, I was apart of a field maintenance team that was solely responsible for staying mission ready as the first line of defense from any enemy's foreign or domestic. The equipment there were tanks, which I was not qualified or trained to work on. So I took the initiative to step up and assist my team in any way possible, weather it was assisting our manager run an effective program, assist the tank mechanics in whatever they needed to work more proficiently, or did the occasional odd taskings they received that way they could continue to work. It was a culture shock being assigned to work somewhere where my specialty was not required but I made the best of it any way i could.

Tasked along side my team to do scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on over 524 vehicles over the span of four years, to maintain fully operation equipment and save the company time and money. While working there I helped them save $324,650 dollars in repairs weather I was installing or conducting technical trouble shooting to correctly diagnose the issues with any vehicle.
