Field Layout• Provided civil layout services including water lines, storm sewer lines, sanitary sewer lines, overall site grading and property line layout/verification.• Performed building/concrete layout services including excavation area layout, footings, caissons, imbeds, grid lines, wall layout, and anchor bolt layout.Software Layout Solutions• Provided field layout crews with layout coordinates derived from 2D AutoCAD models and 3D architectural Revit models. The manipulations of Revit families were used to increase efficiency in coordinate creation. • Coordinated and created 3D architectural models using Revit and AutoCAD to establish layout coordinates and enable efficient layout methods.• Created Digital Terrain Models [DTM’s] using Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D solutions in tandem with Trimble Access to layout field surfaces. 3D Scanning• Orchestrated 3D scan operations from data acquisition to end deliverable stages. Collected as-built conditions for over 20 jobs using Trimble 3D scan equipment. Job data sets ranged from 5 – 750 scans. Worked through point cloud derivation and analysis using a combination of Trimble Real Works and Trimble Business Center. Deliverables such as annotated drawings, contour maps, cloud to model comparison, and as-built 3D/2D models created using AutoDesk Revit and AutoCAD.Photogrammetry• Collected as-built conditions and formulated deliverables using various photogrammetric solutions. Drone imagery used to create deliverables such as, point clouds, scaled georeferenced orthomosaics and 3D mesh generation. V10 imagery data collected and processed with Trimble Business Center software to acquire spot elevations and dimensions to portray as-built conditions.

• Lead a mechanical engineering team focused on vehicle structure optimization for the GM EcoCar2 hydrogen-electric vehicle.• Designed, using CAD, and manufactured mounts to secure a carbon fiber battery box in the back seat of the vehicle; Finite Element Analysis performed to meet GM standards. • CV shaft designed and manufactured to interface with an aftermarket electric transmission. • Rear Seat Belt mounts designed using CAD and manufactured; Finite Element Analysis performed to meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.• Presented Progress to GM EcoCar2 board of directors; acted as direct line of contact to GM and suppliers.

Silent Falcon UAS (Summer 2012 – Winter 2013)• Designed, manufactured, tested, and contributed to publishing of provisional patents through late state development for the unmanned aerial vehicle.• Calculation and testing of solar contributions established prior to solar panel implementation• Root Cause Analysis case study performed and published.• Assumed the lead position in executing communications between suppliers and subcontractors.Sierra Nevada (Spring 2012)• Worked on the Dream Chaser hydraulic landing gear system. Contributions included project management, system design, CAD design, bill of materials development, and part procurement.

• Circuit board fabrication to meet detailed specifications for iPod Touch to submarine communications. • Designed and manufactured air tight submarine casing using CAD and Finite Element Analysis. • Presented progress reports and final product to NASA space grant board of directors.
