A Jack up the sleeve... I thrive on expanding my knowledge in all professional and personal settings and will go out of my way to seek opinions and methods different to my own to improve the varied experience I already have. My ideal career constantly has new challenges or is based in an ever-shifting landscape allowing my creativity and adaptability to become central to my work. In my personal life I embrace this ideology through travel and conversation with people of all backgrounds and locations. I have visited 36 countries and have lived and worked in all types of locations from a small California beach town to a rural central Minnesotan town to the heart of London. I started my professional career in the construction industry doing hard labor, which taught me the value of challenging work and how results become visible once you put in the effort. By taking the skills I've learned from the construction industry and pairing it with the tech sector and management roles I've been a part of, I can offer a unique addition to whatever role I fill. I have a very personable demeanor and it shows best when I can work with others who have different strategies than me due to my attitude that the normal way may not always be the best way, and every situation in life is a lesson taught if you are trained to see it. Previous supervisors have described me as "flexible" and "a chameleon," referencing my ability to fit into any dynamic while remaining humble enough to know that others will always have something to teach me. The way I approach my personal and professional life is similar in that I like to be productive yet value a healthy dose of laughter. One thing that never fails to entertain me are malaphors. By combining two quite different sayings you are left with a unique meaning. These have helped me describe things out of the ordinary yet useful in uncommon ways, such as myself.
