Olmec is an award winning, Black and minority community-led race equality organization. Olmec provides innovative training programs for individuals, housing associations, local authorities, social enterprises and the private sector.

• Coached four tutoring sessions per week using engaging pedagogical strategies to enhance client’s writing.• Collaborated with writing center colleagues to research tutoring theory and implement proven best practices.• Researched and tested software, systems, and technologies that would improve Writing Center programs as a member of the Emerging Technologies Working Group.

Oversaw a special digital issue on the climate crisis with an emphasis on politics. Worked closely with Guardian journalists to choose and assign stories for the site, including news and feature pieces, photography, video projects, high-profile interviews and social media content. Additionally oversaw a story on youth activism for carbon neutrality at universities.
