I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin, the type of town where everyone knows just about everybody. My Grandfather put me to work at about 5 or 6 to help chop and split wood for the winter as well as landscaping, I’ve come to realize that it is because of that I know the values of hard work and a good work ethic. After I realized that I wasn’t going to do well in college my junior year of high school I made the decision to enlist into the Air Force in 2014. I knew I wanted to be involved with law enforcement so I chose to be Security Forces ( Military Police).I’ve faced a lot of highs and a lot of lows in my career so far, ranging from getting promoted to SSgt fairly early, to being the first on scene to my best friends suicide. Even with all of the negatives I’m still grateful that I am where I am and I’m thankful for the people I have met. The military has taught me that I am a lot stronger both physically and mentally than I ever would have known on my own. Along with that I’ve learned how to communicate effectively and listen to what people are telling me.
