• 3D models were created for rapid prototyping and/or for manufacturing purposes.• Technical drawings detailing the models dimensions and other technical information were created.• Design decisions were based on how difficult mold manufacturing would be, and plastic properties.• Rapid prototyped parts were cleaned in a post prototyping process.• Part failure analysis of a product display tower was preformed to identify the mode of failure and conditions that caused it.• SolidWorks Simulation was used for finite element analysis of forces.• Autodesk Moldflow was used to analyze plastic properties after injection molding.• Results of the findings were detailed in a report with recommendations for future designs.• Learned the basics and a few advanced aspects of SolidWorks, a program I previously had no experience in, in less than one working day.• Learned SolidWorks Simulation independently.• Learned Moldflow with minimal instruction.
