Coordinates, plans and executes advanced adult sports programs which include, but are not limited to, basketball, football, bowling and softball. Applies an extensive knowledge of US Army Family Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) standing policies and procedures to facilitate mission requirements. Assists Special Events Coordinator with logistical planning, marketing and implementation of high visibility MWR activities (e.g., 4th July, Oktoberfest, Armed Forces Day 5 and 10 mile runs). Provides program support for military units’ adapting activities to conform to limitations in funds, facilities, equipment and staff support. Serves as the Fort Lee representative on the Executive Committee for the Washington Area Military Athletic Conference (WAMAC), articulating multi-specific goals and objectives for the Sports Division. Interacts with Public Affairs, Marketing and Advertising departments to market and advertise Intramural and Varsity sports.
