I began my career in the construction field apprenticing as an electrician working on a wide variety of projects. During my apprenticeship and early years as a journeyman I worked in commercial, industrial and residential settings, allowing me to gain a vast amount of technical experience in the electrical field. After six years in new construction I began working in an electrical maintenance setting where I became proficient in troubleshooting and repairs. Some of the electrical systems I maintained included fire alarm systems, VFD's, motors, low voltage data systems, and a variety of other equipment. In my sixth year working in building maintenance as an electrician, I had the opportunity to work in management, overseeing building trades departments in educational facilities maintenance. In this management role I have gained experience in team leadership, planning and scheduling, project coordination, safety, and budgeting, while also obtaining a wider range of knowledge in a variety of construction fields.
